The Segovia Campus was created in October 1996 after administrative control over universities was transferred to the Autonomous Region of Castilla y León and the designation of degree courses taught in Segovia to the University of Valladolid. In a short period of time, the Segovia campus has become an extremely attractive option for university study, with a varied but complementary offer of courses, taught in exceptional surroundings as Segovia is the only World Heritage City in the university district of Valladolid.
As if to reflect the coupling of tradition and innovation in the city, and in addition to the existing degree courses in Education and Computing, the Faculty of Social, Legal and Communications Sciences, which offers degrees in Business Administration and Management, Law, Advertising and Public Relations as well as three-year diplomas in Tourism and Labour Relations, will also be offering joint degrees and diplomas in the near future. This will enable it to offer state-of-the-art teaching and research, and enhance their attraction. The tradition behind Segovia, its tourist appeal combined with the experience and training of its young lecturers provide an unrivalled exchange of knowledge. It is indeed a campus for passing on knowledge.
